Job Vacancy: Youth and Community workers
Location: Westfield and Milford youth clubs in Yeovil, Glastonbury windmill Hill and Red Brick youth clubs
Hours: part time hours 3 to 6 hours per week, term time only
Rate of Pay: £10.19 per hour
Contract Type: Fixed term contracts

You will be someone who can co-produce a provision that is youth-led, evidence-informed and delivers high-quality outcomes so that young people can live their best life and thrive.

What you can expect in this role?
To provide a safe welcoming fun environment for young people aged 10-19 accessing the youth club, to design deliver and evaluate a range of informal learning opportunities. To achieve these outcomes, you will work closely with young people and your team to create, implement and effective plans and programs for the open access youth Club.
The role will offer you opportunities to display talent and passion for working with young people. Also, to use your creativity, talents, people management skills and knowledge to run a successful youth work provision for young people. It will also provide you with development opportunities to grow.
What do you need?
- A passion and drive for your people to thrive and achieve in life.
- Excellent relationship building skills, emotional intelligence and creativity.
- A priority for Safeguarding, so that young people are safe.
You may have experience as or in:
Outreach Worker, Support Staff, Support Worker, Challenging Behaviour, Voluntary Sector, Social Work, Social Care Worker, Teaching, uniformed groups, sports groups, Teaching Assistant, Community Services, Community Development, Youth Work, Youth Worker, Detached Youth Worker and Youth Provision
Qualification: Level 3 in Youth work or equivalent. Relevant experience will also be considered
The post holder will:
- be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS
