Job Coach - Building Better Opportunities x 2 (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £26,174

Worcester & Home Working

Work pattern: Monday to Friday (25 to 37 hours per week)

Type: Fixed Term Contract to December 2022 (Full or Part Time)

We are brave, we are ambitious, we are honest, and we are Citizen!

Fusion, an innovative Worcestershire consortium, has been successful in securing additional funding from the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund to continue delivery of the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) programme across the County.

As a Fusion partner, and to support our success, we are seeking to appoint an experienced, motivated person to be a Building Better Opportunities Job Coach. You will work with Citizen and the wider BBO team to provide employment support to BBO participants.

Working with people furthest from the labour market you will be responsible for the following;

  • You will hold information, advice, and guidance qualifications and understand the UK Welfare to Work Programme.
  • The ability to motivate and mentor participants who are facing social and economic barriers to sustained employment.
  • Increase the number of employment opportunities with potential employers and negotiate with them to offer work experience and interview opportunities for participants.
  • This is a challenging post and will require you to be innovative. You will be part of a dedicated team that provides a high-quality service and an organisation that is committed to valuing and supporting its employees and the local community.

Success will be measured in part by the number of participants you help secure and sustain paid employment.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own caseload, have a positive attitude and be an effective communicator with participants, external partners and local employers.

The local BBO programme has been shaped by the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, and the Job Coach post is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community fund.

If this sounds like you, you’ll feel right at home at Citizen.  As well as a generous benefits package, we enable all Citizens to achieve the best possible balance between work and personal life and provide opportunities for everyone to reach their full potential.

Due to the nature of this work, an enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for successful applicants.

The position has been identified as needing to comply with the mandatory vaccinations legislation.  The successful candidate will need to provide evidence that they are fully vaccinated or evidence of medical exemptions.

Please note we will be reviewing applications throughout the campaign and may invite candidates to interview at any time. If a suitable candidate is found Citizen has the right to close this campaign early.
