As a Tintagel Castle Visitor Assistant, you will join an amazing team of employees and volunteers, making sure visitors have a great time from the moment they arrive until they say goodbye. This is a varied role and some days will be busy from start to finish, whereas others may be quieter especially on the wetter days! No two days are the same.
If your initial application is successful you will be invited to a Recruitment Webinar on either January 13th, 20th, 27th, 2022. If successful through that stage you will then be invited to one of our Recruitment Days on either the 7th or 8th February 2022.
Tintagel Castle is one of our flagship sites, welcoming around 300,000 visitors a year, who come to explore the historic Island grounds telling the story of 1600 years of Cornish history, myth and legend. This role provides a unique opportunity to work in a busy historic tourist attraction, where one moment you will be selling tickets to happy holiday makers to providing tastings of our fabulous wine in one of our retail outlets. We are especially keen to hear from you if you have an interest in retail as this role will work within our shop as well as supporting all areas of the site like admissions and site operations.
Full and Part Time hours available for three or eight month contracts. Eight Month contracts are March to October. Three month contracts are June to August. Various shift patterns available including 9 and 4.5 hour days, hours to suit school hours available. Full time roles are up to 40 hours per week.
Weekends and Bank Holidays will be included in your working roster.
We are looking for people who enjoy working with others as part of a team to deliver an engaging visitor experience to a diverse audience. Training and support will be provided as part of your induction to the role, but some paid or voluntary experience working with the public may be beneficial.
