Contract operational HR Advisor

The Role: Reporting to HRD, this is a temp generalist HR Advisor role covering all aspects of HR working in a busy HR dept

Salary: GBP27,741- GBP28,000 (depending on relevant HR experience)

Location: Grimsby (Healing area)

This is a 'great' opportunity to work in a busy, productive HR department where you could very quickly make your mark. This is a hands on HR role working closely with managers, leaders and staff at all levels where you can offer pragmatic creative and business focused HR solutions and recommendations across the business.

THE ROLE:
The role reports to the HR Director and works in a close knit HR team. The interim HR Advisor will be responsible for advising and supporting Managers and dept leaders on employee relations cases up to dismissal on disciplinary, grievances, short-term and long term attendance, performance improvement, bullying and harassment and staff consultation. This is a temporary role but our client is seeking to recruit a perm HR Advisor, for the right candidate there could be the potential for temp to perm.

THE CANDIDATE:
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
Good knowledge and practical experience of HR best practice, including resourcing, employee relations, performance management, discipline and grievance, general HR policy and employment legislation.
Strong stakeholder relationship experience.
Previously worked with Occ Health.
Effective monitoring of sickness trends and facilitate a proactive approach to absence management.
Previous experience of liaising with Trade Unions.
Previous experience of drafting investigation statements of case, preparing outcome letters, providing HR advice at hearings.
Previous experience of supporting senior HR with complex HR matters - restructures, TUPE, redundancies, recruitment etc.
Accurately updating HR systems and databases - sickness and absence casework.
Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage a diverse and high volume workload.
Proven track record of delivering HR solutions.
Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential.
Good level of analytical capability.
Strong IT Skills with experience of using HR systems including SAP and Success Factors.
CIPD 5 ideally (but would consider CIPD3).
