Group HR Manager - Staffordshire and Cheshire

We are looking for a Group HR Manager for a multi-site manufacturing and distribution business. It's a brand new role and will be highly operational. You'll be heavily involved in the day to day activities, as well as establishing a group HR Strategy which is both robust and cohesive.

Going back to basics you'll need identify the gaps and design and implement HR policies and procedures across the group. There will be a big education piece to deliver, establishing accountabilities and ownership with regards to people management

You'll provide supervision and leadership to the HR Manager, enabling them to grow and develop at the same time supporting and advising line managers to handle difficult and challenging situations creating a consistent approach across the group.

Succession planning and staff retention are a key feature. They're on track to achieve their forecasted growth with much more planned. To do this they want to keep the best and attract talent from across the manufacturing sector. You'll drive positive change and performance improvement and increase awareness of resources available to each department to help them achieve their goals.

This is a gritty job, you'll need to roll your sleeves up and be as comfortable operating strategically as you are embedded in the day to day as is the nature of entrepreneurial companies.

What you'll need

They are looking for CIPD Level 7 along with current knowledge on UK employment law. With senior management experience, this could be your first step into a group position enabling you to grow with the job. Multi-Site experience is a distinct advantage and the ability to be flexible to travel to other sites is crucial.
