Supply Chain Procurement Engineering Manager Electro-Mechanical

Our client is a high quality, innovative and product driven global manufacturer of high volume consumer electronics and now has an immediate requirement for Procurement Engineering Manager for New Product Introduction working closely both the Research and Engineering functions and support and develop the global procurement and supply chain strategies that will help define future success, building robust new supply chains that have optimum cost, quality and performance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Electro-Mechanical (EM) Procurement Engineering team engagement with Research & New Product Introduction on new technologies
* Provide expert commercial & technical support to lead the team to source high quality parts and sub-assemblies
* Work across multiple Complex and time sensitive projects projects to develop integrate EM supplier strategies
* Drive design to cost
* Ensure strong communication, with both external suppliers and internal teams
* Support and advise as a subject matter expert
Experience
* Demonstrate Procurement success and the benefits it can bring to an organisation.
* Ability to navigate complex situations
* Comfortable operating at all levels within commercial and engineering
* Excellent commercial acumen, stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Degree in engineering or commercial discipline
* Excellent knowledge & experience of EM product R&D
* Demonstrable experience of managing commercial teams
* Proven track record leading technically challenging EM products from concept to production
* Understanding of EM products such as Motors, Pumps, Drives, Heaters, Coolers, Batteries, Power Supply Units & Chargers
* Able to influence multiple senior stakeholders
* Self-starter, able to work with cross functional teams
* NPI Product / Consumer Electronics Development
