The starting salary for this role is GBP27,991 per annum and is based on a 36 working hour week.
Surrey County Council is seeking to recruit a Digital Media Officer to manage and develop an effective and customer-focused web and social media/digital channel presence for SCC Public Health. The role will ensure that customers and stakeholders have easy online access to services and that the website and digital media channels provide accurate information to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will need to be an excellent team worker as you will operate from the business and contract support team whilst also heavily engaging the wider Public Health team along with communication and engagement colleagues in the wider council. Flexibility and willingness to travel are also key as there may be some requirement to support the team at different localities within Surrey along with the various demands that continue to be faced in the team's response to the pandemic.
The Public Health Team in Surrey County Council is forward-looking, with ambitions to significantly improve the health and well-being of our county's population and works closely with a range of local and partner organisations.
To be shortlisted for interview for this role, your CV and personal statement should evidence the following:
- Good IT skills, including Office 365, Excel and database management systems
- Practical business support skills acquired through substantial previous work experience in a business environment providing support to staff and/or management
- Problem solving skills, including the analysis and interpretation of data
- Self-motivation with willingness to work as part of a team
- Technical qualification in website management and / or digital media or alternatively a willingness to pursue further qualification will be especially beneficial
