SDL Solutions Limited is seeking a Software Test Automation Technician for our market leading client based in Cheltenham.
As a Software Test Automation Technician, you will be responsible for managing, creating and implementing the automation of software test scripts and processes in order to ensure developed software meets user requirements. You will plan, create and maintain tests, automated or otherwise. You will design and implement regression test suites. You will work with Software QA Technicians in the development of automated tests to increase returns in efforts. You will review and improve software testing and development procedures as expected of every member of a team. You will contribute to software testing needs, in order to ensure sprint deliveries can be made confidently and on time. You will monitor and report on test runs and results. You will also participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules or potential problems
As a Software Test Automation Technician, you will ideally be ISTQB qualified. You will need experience in regression testing design, implementation and management along with issue logging, defect management, tracking and resolution tools and processes. You will also need experience in Agile methodology and how this applies to Testing processes and software development life cycles. You will also have previous experience in exploratory testing across various platforms. Experience with Visual Studio, Azure Devops, GIT, oWASP and CI/CD is highly desirable as is experience with API testing.
