Managing a spend in excess of ??????10m per annum and a small team, you'll have previous experience of implementing changes to processes and practices as well as a knowledge of developing forecasting and planning systems.
The role will see you travel worldwide representing the organisation and building relationships with key suppliers.
Overview of duties:
* Manage the team responsible for the day to day ordering of products to ensure timely delivery to fulfil customer orders whilst working within agreed spend budgets and stock levels.
* Maintain and develop supplier relationships to lower cost; reduce risk and improve quality and delivery performance.
* Manage the procurement process to ensure all items are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints using forecasting and planning systems.
* Support team members responsible for suppliers in resolving issues including availability and price.
* Launching price enquiries with suppliers and then evaluating and negotiating the offers.
* Analyse and monitor stock profiles including forecasting future levels.
* Review and evaluate the supplier base, mitigate risks and adapt to market changes.
* Research and identify alternative supply sources for existing products to ensure continuity of supply and improve brand profitability.
* Drive and develop strategic company and departmental projects, team-working as necessary to meet deadlines on time.
