We are looking to recruit an experienced Plumber to join our growing operations and maintenance team within the Estates department at Coventry University. The role will be responsible for the maintenance of the plumbing and mechanical systems across the University.

The post holder will be part of a team undertaking planned, routine and emergency repairs to all water supply and distribution systems and above and below ground drainage systems across the university campus. As part of the role, you will also be responsible for making minor modifications to plumbing systems.

You will have experienced in investigatory fault finding and be able to carry out repairs to a range of plumbing, heating and water supply services. In line with statutory regulations, you will be responsible to complete plumbing installations, testing and commissioning, following industry best practice in line with health and safety procedures.

You will need:

  • Experience of working with domestic plumbing
  • You will hold an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating qualification
  • You will have completed the Unvented Hot water Storage Systems Certificate (G3)
  • You will have knowledge of RAMS, SSOWs, COSHH regulations

Desirable qualifications include:

  • ACS Domestic Gas (CCN1)
  • PASMA
  • IPAF
  • Legionella Awareness Training
  • IOSH Working Safely
