Learning Support Assistant - Primary MLD/SLD - Fareham/Hampshire

ASAP Start - Suitable for candidates with experience within SEN schools, psychology graduates, people with a keen interest in working with students with learning difficulties and associated needs.

We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant's for a specialist school who provide for pupils with a range of complex learning needs. This may be inclusive of any of the following: autistic spectrum disorder, mobility and health needs, communication or emotional and behavioural needs.

The school are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants with a 'can do' attitude and a positive approach to learning, you will have a passion in working with pupils who have a diverse range of SEN. The role would be on a temp to perm or perm basis, the school are seeking LSA's due to expansion in the school and will need people across all key stages.

As a learning support assistant you should:

• be willing to support all children with learning
• confidently work with pupils on a 1:1 basis
• have excellent communication skills
• have a calm and consistent approach
• motivate and inspire children's learning
• be creative, flexible and willing to adapt the learning environment
• be able to work under own initiative where necessary
• have a sympathetic understanding of children's emotional needs
• support children with personal care

Relevant qualifications or experience with children with learning difficulties is desirable, however full training will be provided.

To be considered for this role you should have a clear UK DBS or be willing to submit one.
