Project Admin Officer

Central London

Up to £27,000 per annum pro rata

Part Time Fixed Term Contract to 31 March 2023

Do you have a positive can-do attitude?

Are you outward-looking and passionate about changing attitudes towards sports?

Do you share Women in Sport’s beliefs and aims?

Are you organised and see deadlines as a personal challenge?

Women in Sport together with partners have been awarded a grant to deliver “The Big Sister” partnership project, which aims to break down entrenched barriers to healthy, happy and active lives through a supportive eco-system of ‘Big Sister’ peers and coaches. The aim is to mobilise participation in sport for young women and girls. Targeting three areas of high deprivation, we will work to break down gender inequalities, engage girls and young women in physical exercise, and improve mental health. Women in Sport is the lead partner for the programme and will develop and deliver the Big Sister programme for girls to help them feel ‘sport ready’.

We are now looking for a super-efficient administrator to join us and help deliver this exciting new project. Ideally you will be a methodical, organised individual who is not afraid of spreadsheets. You will be committed to delivering on time and would be happy to pick up the phone and speak to stakeholders to ensure the project is on track with deliverables. If you have experience in working on grant funded projects or if you have worked on a multi partner project within a not-for-profit or beliefs-based organisation you are likely to have the experience, we need for this role.

We want applicants who can bring something different to our organisation, so if you think your experience is relevant, you share our vision and have the ability to deliver the transformational changes we are looking for, you might be just right.  You should be outward looking, able to think creatively and good at bringing out the best in people.  We look for people with focus but flexibility; with drive but humility.

Women in Sport highly values the quality and diversity of thought that is only possible from a team made up of individuals from broad range of backgrounds, who can each bring their different experiences and perspectives. For this reason, we encourage applications from men as well as women and would particularly welcome applications from people of  different ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientation, religion, age or impairment.

Women in Sport is committed to a working culture where everyone can be authentic and true to themselves. We strive to represent the full diversity of the communities we serve.

Please see the job description for full list of responsibilities and the criteria required for this role. In summary:

Main responsibilities are:

  • Support the external communication of the project as required including the final report design and delivery
  • Ensure that the project meets its requirements on data protection and safeguarding
  • Ensure that all project documentation is up to date and filed correctly within our SharePoint filing structure

  • Able to work as part of a team and independently as required
