Adoptions Engineer / Co-ordinator

A new opportunity has arisen to join an award winning housing developer in Exeter, with an established technical department, they are looking to strengthen the engineering capacities and appoint an experienced Adoptions Manager
This role is paramount to ensure that all the Estate Completion infrastructure works are carried out in accordance with the approved documentation, releasing bonds & maintenance, ensuring the adoption by the respective authority is achieved.
The role:
* Site inspections of the condition of infrastructure - ensure works are complete achieve public adoption
* Monitor all adoption Section Agreements (Section (phone number removed) & 278)
* Liaising with the Local Authority and company Solicitors
* Resolve all issues arising from completed sites ensuring all titles deeds, maintenance bonds and other legal requirements are complied
* Assist in the production of Monthly Estate Completions reports and budget forecasts
* Apply for any Deed of Variations that may be required for S38/S104 Agreements
* Monitor build stage of the S38, S278 and S104 - ensure certificates are applied for and the appropriate Bond reductions
* Attend site visits and meetings with Authorities, reporting on progression of adoptable roads and sewers
* Apply to the appropriate certificates - completion and final/vesting certificates
* Manage remedial lists following inspections
The Person:
* Good knowledge and understanding of adoption and infrastructure works associated to new build housing estates - sewers, roads, utilities
* Technically minded and a thorough understanding of section agreements S38, S278 and S104
* Legal understanding of bonds, certificates and title deeds
* Experience of working with a housing developer, consultancy or local authority will be essential
* Educated to HNC or degree level in either construction, planning or an engineering discipline will be advantageous
* A full driving license will be required.
