We are currently recruiting an Accountant on behalf on a engineering consultancy based in Cambridge, this will be on a temporary contract for 12 months with the potential of a longer term or permanent contract, full time or 30 hours will be considered.
This role will be working alongside the Financial Controller, this is a great opportunity to join a growing business and to support them initially through a peak in workload but with a view for this to be reviewed and the potential of a longer term opportunity. You will be offered hybrid working and on the days you are working in the office they offer plenty of onsite parking. The main duties are as follows -
- Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
- Reviewing supplier statements
- Processing the payment runs
- Bank reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Reconcile the bank accounts
- Month end journals
- VAT return
- Complete year end closure
You must have experience in the above duties and be comfortable working within a small finance team. You must be competant on Excel and ideally have used Sage 50, full support and training will be given by the Financial Controller on their processes.
