Accounts/Payroll Assistant
You will work for an established, professional company based on Medway City Estate, Rochester. They are looking to recruit an Accounts/Payroll Assistant on a permanent basis to join their growing, fun and hardworking team.
The Accounts/Payroll Assistant will support the team by ensuring timely and accurate processing, answer internal and external queries in a professional manner and ensure databases are updated on a regular basis with correct information.
Are you able to process statutory Payroll payments? You will take an active role in the day-to-day transactions of the finance function, which may include but are not limited to:
Key duties:
* Bank reconciliations
* Processing purchase ledger invoices
* BACS & ad hoc payments
* Inputting new starters and leavers
* Prepare weekly payroll
* Manage all deductions
* Preparation of weekly profit sheet
* Raising sales invoices
* Deal with all statutory payments including SMP & SSP
* Quarterly VAT returns
* Prepare and collate information to enable timely reporting
* Credit control to keep overdue debt to a minimum
* Dealing with RBS invoice facility ledger
* Liaise with establishment managers to ensure monthly returns are completed on time
* Dealing with client portals
* Assisting with preparation management accounts
* Ad hoc work as required
Profile:
* High level of accuracy
* Good understanding of computerised Accounts Payable and Payroll systems
* Work as part of a team
* Good communication skills
* Friendly and outgoing personality
* Manage own workload
IT Knowledge:
* Microsoft Excel
* Sage 50 Cloud
Monday to Friday: 09.00-17.30 hours. 1 hour lunch.
Onsite parking. 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays. Pension
