GSL Education is looking to appoint an 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work at a wonderful school based in Leicester and to support individuals and small groups of SEN students to improve their learning.
The school caters to pupils of all ages with various special education needs. The school support pupils with complex needs including social, emotional, and behavioral problems and ASD. Pupils are keen to learn, and the school has state-of-the-art resources including modern technology.
As a Classroom Assistant you will be supporting the class teachers, ie. helping to set up the classroom for the school day. You may be asked to work on a 1:1 basis or alternatively in small groups, during this time you would be expected to monitor children's behavior and progress and report back to the class teachers as well as parents.
