THE ROLE
The post holder will support the Private Client Team and provide secretarial support to fee earners and paralegals as more particularly described below. This is an initial 4-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extending for longer. Must be willing to work as a member of a team and assist colleagues as required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare introductory letters to client with relevant initial enclosures and assist in client
- engagement
- Type dictated documents & letters from fee earners using BigHand
- Prepare and draft documents for fee earners accuracy is key
- Use of Microsoft word, excel and bespoke software
- Filter calls, update clients/agents/solicitors, take accurate messages
- Meet with clients (with fee earner present) and witness will signings
- Preparing all relevant correspondence on behalf of fee earners
- Preparation of bills and assisting in invoicing clients
Skills & Knowledge
- 3 years previous experience as a legal secretary is required
- Use of BigHand or other dictation system is necessary
- High level of literacy
- Fast & accurate typing (65WPM+)
- Attention to detail is necessary
- Must have a professional telephone manner and experience in dealing on a customer base

- Must have extremely good organisational skills
- Proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel
