Our client operates one of the leading health clubs and day spas in Shropshire. The spa offering five treatment rooms, rasul, and thermal facilities including sauna, steam room, vitality pool and a 20m swimming pool.
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Spa Manager to grow the business and lead the friendly team of therapists.This position would suit a strong team leader with a warm personality and a proven track record in managing day spa facilities.
This role involves overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the spa, therefore applicants should have a sound understanding of the key areas of responsibility including financial performance, sales and marketing, and health and safety. In order to meet our clients high operating standards and levels of customer service, applicants should be able to create a friendly and fun environment for all guests and staff, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate an ability to build relationships easily at all levels. The successful candidate must be highly organised, show excellent attention to detail, be able to remain calm under pressure and think logically in the fast-paced environment of a busy spa.
It is essential for the successful candidate to have previous experience of leading and motivating a team, as you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the spa therapists to deliver a first class service, to maximise revenue and repeat business, as well as grow and develop the team through training, recruiting new staff as and when needed.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a spa or beauty therapy background (and qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy, or equivalent), looking for a new challenge and career progression and who would thrive on learning the fundamentals needed to effectively manage a small spa within a larger health and fitness facility
