Here at Pertemps we are excited top recruit for an exciting position as a Trading Assistant role based in Peterborough.
Ideally we are looking for someone with experience in a similar role who is looking for a new challenge or for progression.

We are also keen to see applicants looking for people who do not have experience yet do have great computer and communication skills and who are able to multitask. If you have previous experience analysing data then this would also be a great skill for this role.

Job Title:- Trading Assistant
Location:- Peterborough
Hours:- 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (flexible working form home can be granted once fully trained offering a mix of office and home working)
Duration:- 12 month contract with a view to go Permanent/progression to other departments
Salary:- GBP18,000 to GBP19,000 depending on experience

Job Description:
Ensures the smooth operation of Inventory processes by completing the stock planning and supply activities to agreed standards and deadlines to support all connected departments.
To assist the Buyers in analysing supply chain and trading processes & systems to support specified product area.

Duties:
  • Provide on-going support to the buying department in the development and ongoing management of core processes, reports and weekly trading analysis
  • Ensure orders are placed within supplier lead times to deliver required stock to support sales, availability and stock turn targets
  • Determine the most appropriate distribution outlet for merchandise
  • Proactively manage suppliers and work with distribution
  • Ensure the smooth running of supply chain activities
  • Delivery of exceptional customer service
  • Deliver stock sales and profit targets within the agreed parameters
  • Set-up, manage and follow up all trading administration systems and procedures to ensure product availability and delivery
  • Inventory and stock management
  • Product availability management of stock within agreed targets
  • Weekly Trading Analysis
  • Effectively build and manage relationships with internal departments and external clients/customers
  • Assist Buyers with Forecast accuracy, planning and budget planning
  • Data analysis & interpretation in order to drive sales and maximise new opportunities
  • Assist Buyers with Budget Planning
