Breagh Recruitment is proud to be partnered with one of Irelands leading, home-grown local Civil Engineering Main Contractors as they look for a Procurement Officer to join their growing company to spearhead the success of a varied portfolio of projects ranging from, Road Schemes, Drainage Projects, Major Earthworks, Waste & Water works, Flood Defence schemes and Marine works. As a Procurement Officer you will be involved in a variety of different projects from design through to project completion.
Boasting high company values, based around Safety, engineering excellence, respect & collaboration, cost control and efficiency, in a collaborative team environment that includes some technically excellent individuals. Your job will be to work alongside these individuals to ensure the continued success of their projects to date and ensure all projects receive a high-quality service.

The Role
* Generate Tender/Contract enquiries to Suppliers / Subcontractors based on the Specification, Drawings, Bill of Quantities at Tender stage and Contract stage.
* Draft comparisons of rates /costs based on Quotations received from Suppliers / Subcontractors.
* Issue purchase orders to Suppliers and Subcontractors.
* Maintain procurement files and purchase agreements to an auditable standard.
* Research new materials & suppliers for design and cost savings.
Desirable Criteria
* CIPS or IIPMM qualification welcomed.
* Experience in Purchase Order systems beneficial.
