REPROGRAPHICS ASSISTANT

Part-time, term-time (39 weeks per year)

Hours: 9.30am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: Between £11,178.05 (£19,020 FTE) per annum and £12,336.41 (£20,991 FTE) per annum

The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Reprographics Assistant to join the College’s Reprographics Team. The successful applicant will be required to print documents, including posters, banners, booklets and display materials using photocopiers and large format printers, collating, binding, stapling, and laminating machines, and to co-ordinate with the suppliers for repair of equipment as required.

The post holder will need to prioritise their work in order to meet the associated deadlines for each request and to provide a costing of the work be carried out, as requested. The post holder will also ensure adequate supplies of shop items are maintained, monitoring the need to stock new lines in the shop according to demand. You will sell stationary and consumable items to students and staff and take responsibility for any cashing up and banking when required. The post is available with immediate effect on a permanent, part-time, term-time only basis. The post holder will be required to work term-time only from 9.30am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday (with 30 minutes unpaid for lunch).

The post requires excellent communication, time management, organisational and people skills, along with good IT and administrative skills, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. The ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly, along with the ability to work constructively as part of a team or as an individual is essential. The post holder will need the ability to prioritise their workload and to multi-task in a busy working environment.

The post carries an expectation for some very occasional mandatory evening activities e.g., Open Evenings. However, there are numerous optional opportunities for evening work (Interview Evenings for Students) should the post holder be interested in them for additional remuneration.
