External Reporting Manager

The External Reporting Manager is responsible for the coordination of our group annual report and company statutory accounts. They will work closely with our management accounts team to ensure all statutory reporting is complete, accurate and delivered on time.

The external reporting manager will also lead on all technical accounting queries including owning Huel's accounting policies, reviewing key transactions and concluding on the correct accounting treatment. They will be comfortable reviewing operational documentation and international accounting standards and ensuring that IFRS is applied consistently across contracts and transactions.

This role will work closely with our external auditors, finance team, company secretary, tax advisors and sustainability team to project manage the completion of our group consolidated accounts. Experience in managing others (including upwards), delivering to deadlines and strong communication skills will be critical in this role.

A background in a listed group, working with multi-currency consolidations would be suited to this position. An interest in technical accounting, accounting policy and practical examples of the application of IFRS are key to the success of this role.

What you will be doing:

Co-ordinating the preparation of the group annual report, with the support of the wider finance team, sustainability team and external advisors
Maintaining close working relationships with our audit team and keeping them informed throughout the year
Formalising the groups adopted accounting policies and preparing impact assessments of any new or revised standards
Lead on the technical review of key transactions
Certain month-end responsibilities to support the management accounting team.

What we're looking for:

Experience in an international group reporting role, or the audit of listed groups
Confident technical understanding of the IFRS standards applicable to FMCG/retail/manufacturing businesses
A passion for change and continuous improvement and experience in project management
The desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
A positive attitude and ability to build strong working relationships
