Job Role: Quality Control Operator
Location: South Molton

Our client, a world leading manufacturer, is looking for a Quality Control Operator to join their business on a permanent basis.

The successful candidates will monitor, record and action solutions for Quality Control within the department. To audit processes and report back findings to the leadership team.

The candidate will also play an integral role in terms of supporting the Added Value Production Department, providing support to the Team leader and Working Cell Leaders to ensure the efficient operation of the process.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that all necessary training is undertaken before carrying out assigned duties in a safe and effective manner.
Work as part of a process team within Added Value, liaison with peers in Lamination and Particle Board - The customer.
Check & Audit against Quality Standards.
Presenting toolbox talks in relation to Quality issues, Quality Alerts and Customer Complaints.
Corrective Action reporting and either lead or support investigations.
Calibration of QC tooling and audit of tooling within the department.
Report safety and production issues raised/highlighted daily.
Maintain a consistently high level of performance, optimise output and minimise downgrades.
Investigate, understand and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Ensure all documentation is accurately and consistently completed.
Visible commitment to the Safety Star and Expectations Programme.
Comply with Health & Safety requirements: as per training, policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work etc.
Report any H&S issues/accidents/near misses to your line manager and record on the site system.Person Specification

Green Belt Six Sigma - Desirable
Demonstration of / Capable of problem solving and fault finding.
Process/Production background with relevant experience.
IT skills (Microsoft Office trained).
Good organisational skills, Comfortable with autonomy
Good written and verbal communication.
Technical expertise, ability or familiar with technical drawings/acetates (Ideally)
A desire to develop and participate in new opportunities.
Comfortable presenting to Senior Leadership team and customers
