Investment Operations Assistant Manager

• Job Title/Location: Investment Operations Assistant Manager, Surrey/WFH
• Salary: GBPnegotiable + average bonus c.11% (GBP4,500) + pension contribution to 13% (c.GBP5,200)
• WFH: Average working week of 2 days office/3 days WFH
• Requirements: Proven team management experience inc. 121's, appraisals etc and ideally a brokerage/trade/investment operations background
• Role Snapshot: Taking over the day to day management of the team from the current Team Manager and also managing the order reconciliation, trade resolution & settlement processes

The Company/Team: This company has a great reputation for developing people within Financial Services and they are going through a sustained period of expansion, which started in 2020. This team is responsible for asset servicing and administration of Brokerage holdings on our clients investment platform and this covers trade operations, corporate actions, stock deposits, stock plan services and controls for oversight of regulatory reporting.

The Role: This is a team of 6 people within a department of 23 and you will be responsible for the monitoring and overseeing of daily BAU activities associated with trade operations. Your key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in team support and management: conducting 121's and supporting personal development plans
• Supporting Operational Readiness within Trade Operations
• Management of the Order Reconciliation, Trade Resolution & Settlement processes
• House Account resolution, management of the large deals process
• Non-STP execution monitoring
• Responsibility for all trade amendments and corrections
• Best Execution & Market Abuse monitoring + Transaction Reporting

Experience/Skills Required: For the Investment Operations Assistant Manager you must either already possess the IOC or IMC qualifications or be prepared to attain these within the first two years in the role. You must have previous team lead/management experience and ideally with experience in brokerage, trade operations or with exposure to Equities/ETF's/Investment Trusts. You should be a self-starter with good attention to detail and strong communication skills. Most of your month will be working 9-5, with some requirements to do 7-3 and also once a week doing 1.30-9.30.

Additional Information: The salary for the Investment Operations Assistant Manager role is negotiable with an average bonus of c.11% (c.GBP4,500) and a company pension contribution to 13% (GBP5,200).
