This post will be based at our Residential School in Peters Marland, 6 miles from Great Torrington. The school caters for the Special Educational Needs of up to 40 boys aged 8-16, all of whom have Social Emotional and Mental Health needs, some with associated challenging behaviour.

We are currently looking to appoint a new Technical / Senior Teaching Assistant to work primarily within our new purpose-built Vocational Design Technology facility. There will be a requirement to undertake associated training and accreditation to support the safe and efficient operation of this popular range of practical subjects.

We seek a suitably experienced, friendly, enthusiastic, caring and flexible person to join our committed, supportive staff team. This post involves working alongside our DT Practical Skills Instructor and directly with our students to support their practical / vocational learning and pastoral needs. You will need to be an effective communicator and have the adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a wide variety of situations.

For an informal discussion, please contact either Annette Lee, TA Team Manager, or Harry Hobbs, Assistant Headteacher, on 01805 601324.
