Job Description
We are seeking to recruit Principal Consultants with broad defence sector experience. Our expanding Programme Advisory division specialises in the strategy, set-up and transformation of major programmes / organisations across the public and private sectors, with a rapidly expanding presence in the defence sector. Our Programme Advisory division was created in 2018 and has since grown significantly in size and capability with a track record of delivering complex transformations both in the UK and internationally. We are constantly evolving and finding better ways to work and support our clients, so we need people who are equally energetic and passionate about making a difference and playing a part in this growth.

Job Description:

Change and transformation are at the very heart of what we do. We work across the entire change lifecycle from initial diagnostics to delivery and embedment of new ways of working. We are looking for talented, dedicated people who feel their experience and skills could support the transformation of our clients' programmes and organisations. You will have hands-on change management experience and be proficient in using a range of tools and techniques to enable successful outcomes. You will be able to participate in a variety of activities in either a leading or supporting role.

You will be expected to contribute across a number of areas, including:

Assisting in the design of business change and transformation, which may include changes across any or all aspects of an operating model, (e.g. people, organisation, processes or systems).
Leading change management activity, including facilitating workshops, developing deliverables, managing communications, and governing client stakeholders.
Supporting key activities within the Programme Advisory team including internal development of transformation products.
Supporting bid proposals, working closely alongside Senior Management and the wider team.
Working within diverse and multi-disciplinary teams, to act as our representative on client sites.
Identifying and contributing to business development opportunities where appropriate.
Qualifications
Essential:

Proven experience in a consultancy role across a number of commissions, or similar relevant experience (e.g. as a member of the armed forces or civil service).
Demonstrable evidence of change management experience and achievement of results.
Experience of programme and project management.
Strong communication and relationship building skills.
Able to work and thrive in a multi stakeholder environment with a 'making the difference' approach.
Robust and methodical analytical skills, able to take data and develop insights to support solution development.
Capable of producing high quality deliverables under time pressure.
High attention to detail and standard of work.
Good understanding of the UK defence sector, both MOD and supply chain.
Proactive, enthusiastic, imaginative.
Highly Desirable:

Experience of working in the defence sector, either within UK Defence or in a customer-facing role in the supply chain.
Undergraduate degree or Master's degree, or similar higher education.
Owing to the work that we do and the clients we support, experience in one or more of the following sectors would be viewed favourably; infrastructure, transportation, utilities, commercial, natural resources, real estate.
Experience in MS Visio, Power BI.
Current or previously held UK security clearance.
