Role Profile
* Senior Infrastructure Engineer with proven knowledge and experience to build and deliver Infrastructure platform solutions for mission critical infrastructure systems.
* Reporting to the Lead Engineer Infrastructure, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer will have expert technical knowledge to plan, implement and deploy high-end Infrastructure solutions, create high-quality build documentation, configurations, procedures and assist with creating technology strategies and contribute to project deliverables via engineering and project delivery lifecycles.
* The individual will be required to build strong relationships with key stakeholders to manage expectations, priorities with an aim to deliver cost-effective solutions to agreed standards and timescales.
Typical Deliverables
* Assess, plan, and implement high-end Infrastructure solutions
* Develop technical solutions and services in accordance with project requirements.
* Contribute towards the creation of system designs
* Create high-quality build documentation, procedures and standardise processes.
* Manage obsolescence, technical debt, and system remediation.
* Assess and recommend improvements for Infrastructure environments.
* Manage end-to-end delivery of infrastructure solutions.
* Continuous improvement through the introduction of best practice tools and methodologies.
* Lead on infrastructure recommendations for project delivery.
* Perform troubleshooting where required, and lead problem solving effort, liaising with vendors and other third parties when necessary.
* Review and investigate new solutions and propose changes to existing IT systems.
* Planning and implementation of complex changes with adherence to the Change Management guidelines.
* Ensuring infrastructure systems remains fit for purpose and within supported product lifecycles.
* Provide system training and knowledge transfer to business-as-usual operational teams.
* Maintain system integrity and security to protect against system vulnerability.
* Establish guidelines and procedures for installation, maintenance, and management of infrastructure.
* Maintain the system documentation including detailed technical architecture, configuration state, and operational procedures.
* Use KanBan methodology to manage and prioritise project tasks and workflows.
