Location: Lymington (office) / minimum of 3 days travelling in and around the New Forest per week is expected.
We are working in partnership with the Oakhaven Hospice, who meet the end-of-life care needs of their local community. They provide specialist services from the Hospice, combined with support, education, research and partnership working, and collaboration with others who share an interest in end-of-care life. Together with the vital support of their staff, volunteers, donors and supporters, they continue to develop and grow services, ensuring all patients get expert, dignified, compassionate and supportive care when and where they need it.
They are seeking a Corporate Fundraising Manager, who will play a crucial and leading role in creating and developing a wide range of financial relationships with businesses across the region. The new postholder will focus on increasing corporate income by creating exciting opportunities for businesses to get involved, and by identifying, researching, pitching and securing short and long-term partnerships with large and small businesses that will support Oakhaven's work and projects. Developing and account managing their charity of the year partnerships is also expected.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience of corporate fundraising or other relevant high value relationship-based fundraising, such as major donor fundraising
- Proven experience of generating new business
- Understanding of the different elements of corporate fundraising, including account management and stewardship
- Experience of pitching, writing proposals, reports, plans and contributing to strategies would be advantageous
We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence, and secure and steward stakeholders, who can take real ownership of this exciting role. Strong IT experience and good organisational skills are essential.
