Prince Personnel are recruiting for a Production Planner to join a busy, growing manufacturer based in Telford. This is a permanent role where you will be the ensuring effective planning of production and materials in order to fulfil customer orders efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop their existing experience in a progressive and stable industry sector.
You will be responsible for:
* Developing production plans and schedules using forecast provided
* Monitor shift performance and progress to plan
* Issue daily production schedules to production areas
* Monitor and manage stock to ensure material availability meets production needs
* Making any necessary amendments to the production schedule and amending according to priorities ensuring production downtime is minimal
* Attend and contribute to daily production meetings
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience as a Production Controller /Supply Chain / Production Planner / Production Scheduler role
* Good working knowledge of manufacturing supply chain principles and processes
* The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Good working knowledge of MS Excel
* Experience of working on a MRP system would be advantageous
