Service Manager Learning Disability - Birmingham - GBP38,000 to GBP40,000 pa
As the Service Manager for this Learning Disability Home in Birmingham, you will undertake all the duties and responsibilities required as a CQC Registered Manager. You will be working in a learning disability home with a mixture of residents' needs who sometimes present challenging behaviour which will require you to lead from the front.
As the Service Manager, you will be working with the team to continue to support each resident to live as independently as possible within the residential setting while also supporting them to access the community safely.
The ideal candidate for the Service Manager position in Birmingham:
* Previous experience of managing within a learning disability with a challenging behaviour environment either as a Service Manager or Registered Manager
* Strong understanding of CQC requirements and care legislation including the Mental Capacity Act
* Minimum of Level 3 NVQ, ideally NVQ level 5 or willingness to undertake
* Good communication skills and be able to lead your team together
* Previous supervisory experience
* Ability to manage budgets and activities of budget holders
* Previous experience of working effectively with Multi-Disciplinary Teams
