About the role:

They are currently seeking a Retrofit Manager to join their team. The main purpose of this role is to lead on the development of retrofit programmes, ensuring our client’s retained assets are at least EPC band C by 2028, ultimately contributing to their 2050 carbon net zero target. You’ll also act as lead on the collection and management of energy performance data.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Assets and Contracts team, customers, contractors and relevant stakeholders to develop and manage a PAS2035 compliant programme of works to enhance the energy efficiency of their existing asset base, maximising carbon reduction and ensuring value for money
  • Arranging and managing the collection of energy performance data, ensuring it is kept accurate and up to date and that it reflects the most recent work done to each property
  • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of retrofit programmes
  • Exploring opportunities for securing government / public grant and other funding to drive our retrofit programmes and assessment of emerging technology
  • Identifying, trialling and assessing emerging technologies
  • Coordinating the procurement, implementation and use of new technologies across our assets

     

 

What they’re looking for:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of the collection and management of data
  • Experience of preparing and mentoring budgets
  • Contract management experience
  • Knowledge of securing government or public grant programmes for work
  • Knowledge of building regulations, codes of practice, British Standards and domestic building construction and services
  • A confident user of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
  • The ability to interrogate data to draw and evidence conclusions

     

 

It would also be advantageous for you to have:

  • Membership of CIOB / RICS or similar
  • Membership of CIH
  • Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment
  • Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management
  • Experience of assessing energy performance or using energy performance data to develop programmes of work
  • Experience of assessing and implementing new technologies
  • Experience of researching innovative solutions for asset investment and maintenance
  • Experience of implementing and working with Building Information Modelling systems
  • Experience of developing policies and procedures
