Excellent opportunity within a family-owned business, for a part-time (20-30 hours per week) Administrative Assistant, with a salary of GBP20k per annum pro rata, based in Kidderminster.
Quantum Mouldings Ltd is a key player in the supply of finished GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) parts, supplying many markets including automotive, industrial, leisure and advertising industries. Quantum has been established over 36 years and employ around 40 people on their Kidderminster site. (url removed)
Due to our continuing success we are needing to expand our team and are now looking for an Administrative Assistant to work between 20 - 30 hours over 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Working in alignment with QML Core Values, carry out the below tasks under own initiative. Training and support will be given in all aspects of the job.
Provide general office and admin support for sales, including entering orders, providing order acknowledgements and liaising with customers on order details and due dates.
Provide administrative support for factory team and areas regarding Health and Safety, including responding promptly to any safety concerns and actions required.
Support Materials and Planning Manager in ensuring materials are ordered and delivered to due dates
Issue materials against Works Orders as required.
Support Materials and Planning Manager during stock takes - from identifying stock discrepancies and investigation reasons, to implementing measures to reduce future stock discrepancies. This includes working with the office team in updating BoMs (Bill of Materials - the list and quantities of materials and times which are used for the manufacturing of each different part)
Support Senior Engineering Manager in creation and update of process sheets (these are 'instruction sheets' which identify all of the key steps to making each particular part)
Support HR Co-ordinator in identifying training requirements, and working with the relevant parties to organise relevant training (internally or externally)
Other duties as directed by Materials & Planning Manager and HR Co-ordinator.
Key Skills
No formal qualifications are required and training will be given in all aspects of the job. However, a good degree of literacy, basic computer skills and attention to detail are considered to be advantages for this role.
Benefits
This is a salaried role, with a starting salary of GBP20k pa pro rata. Holiday allowance is 4 weeks plus statutory holiday, with an additional day of annual holiday for every 5 years of service. Paycare Healthcare is also provided for both the employee and their partner.
