I am recruiting for a Stock Administrator for a thriving engineering business on the outskirts of Colchester.
Reporting to the Spare Manager, this role will focus on managing incoming and outgoing stock and will also involve helping with quotations.
Key duties
* Taking delivery of incoming stock (checking quantity, quality and other requirements), logging it onto the stock system and ensuring all paperwork is filed.
* Print any necessary bar codes and/or labels and put item in stock in the relevant location.
* Pick, pack and despatch goods as required for customer orders using correct packaging, labelling and documentation, and update stock system
* Handle booking with courier, hauliers and other transport companies
* When required, assist the Spares team to provide quotations for spare enquires
* Telephone handling, emails and other correspondence will be required
* Full training will be given on the stock system
Key skills and abilities:
* Computer literacy, numeracy and attention to detail is essential
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, confident, flexible and willing to assist in all aspects of the business if required.
* Friendly and polite manner being able to converse on the telephone with all levels, including senior management and important customers.
* Happy to work on own initiative in a small office environment
* Due to location, it is essential to be a car driver with own car
