Looking for Safety Engineers to join our team supporting numerous civil aerospace, urban air-mobility and defence/military related projects. We are looking for both permanent employees and contractors.
As part of the Systems and Safety team, the Safety Engineers will be responsible for the delivery of systems safety support
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Candidates will ideally be degree qualified, in a related discipline, and be experienced in aerospace/urban air-mobility/military/defence related systems safety engineering principles, processes and standards.
Specific skills/knowledge/experience should include subjects such as:
* Civil aircraft certification (CS-23, -25)
* Surface ship/submarine systems safety
* Systems such as: landing gear (ATA-32), flight controls (ATA-27), fuel (ATA-28), power (ATA-24)
* Hazard Logs and analysis activities including: HAZID, HAZOP, FHA
* Analysis techniques such as: FTA, ETA, FMEA, FMES
* Production of safety documentation such as PSSA, SSA, PRA etc
* ARP4754 System Design Process
* ARP4761 Safety analysis
* DO178B/DO254 Software/Hardware design
* Defence Standards e.g. 00-56, 00-55, 00-51, 05-057,
* Mil Std e.g. 882E,
* International standards e.g. IEC 61508, IEC 62368
* Working within a quality system environment, such as AS9100, ISO9001
* The ability to lead activities within a team, work package creation, management, and delivery
