The role:

- Salary of up to £25,000 per annum DOE
- Company van for business use
- Overtime opportunities
- Working hours: 8am – 4:30pm (no standby or call out)

In this important role as an Asset Data Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and deployment of the sensors that support key decision making for our operational and asset improvement teams.

You’ll have access to the latest technologies and field data to support your success. You’ll maintain a variety of sensor types across our below and above ground asset base.

Reporting to the Asset Strategy Manager, you will:

- Maintain good data across the stock of loggers at District Meters, CPs, SAM sites and other designated monitoring points on our assets e.g. carry out meter changes, logger repairs, pressure value (PRV) commissioning, checking sensor operation.
- Deployment of permanent noise loggers to aid the Active Leakage Control (ALC) effort
- Escalate logger issues to Asset Data Lead or directly to logger providers
- Use our job management system to manage your workload under the supervision of the Asset Strategy Manager or Asset Data Lead
- As part of the team to support the operational teams across the wholesale business through the provision of good quality reliable data
- Contribute to key Asset Strategy projects

The role does require working outside in all weather conditions and in some confined spaces.

- Previous experience with network control assets
- Previous experience programming and deploying pressure or flow loggers, PRVs and noise logger, and other water sensors is desirable
- A full, valid driving licence
