This post represents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic team player to join a team of staff in Keele University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The Multi User Laboratories are predominantly used for practical teaching of medical students but also deliver practicals for paramedicine and pharmacy students. The diverse range of practical sessions include fields such as physiology, histology, microbiology, pharmacology, biochemistry and basic clinical measurements.

You will work as part of a team responsible for the delivery of laboratory practical sessions, including set up, demonstration and clean down of a wide range of practicals, ordering, organisation and maintenance of consumables, equipment, teaching models and scientific apparatus. You will also be guided through monitoring and maintaining a safe working environment within the laboratories and teaching spaces, ensuring that the environment meets Health and Safety requirements and that all procedures are carried out in compliance with their associated regulations.

You should have some prior experience in a laboratory or technical environment, and must be educated to at least GCSE level in appropriate subjects (or possess equivalent experience).

You must also have the ability to manage your time effectively, adhere to deadlines, and display effective interpersonal and communication skills as part of a team.
