Our client is a telemetry business and has been providing leading real time asset management solutions to utilities sector for over a decade. They have a global client base which includes: UK, Eire, Europe and Australia. They operate as an outsourced business model, working with a range of partners providing products and services for integration into complete end-to-end solutions. They are now looking to recruit a Part Time Supply Chain Technician on a 6 month contract initially. This position may go longer. Hours will be ideally 3 days per week 9 - 5.30. This maybe flexible.

Main Purpose of the Supply Chain Technician Role

To provide repair services on all products released to customers, including configuring and Goods Inwards Testing of product prior to dispatch along with packing and distribution of orders. This is a busy and hands role on which requires excellent attention to detail and prioritise given duties. A methodical and common-sense approach to the role is essential.

Principle Accountabilities

To provide an efficient and effective service to check and inspect goods received and dispatched to ensure they are of accurate quantity, type and acceptable quality, environmental requirements whilst ensuring compliance to relevant policies, procedures, statutory, regulatory requirements.
To pick and pack goods for customers including performing product testing and configuration (where applicable) prior to despatch, booking collections.
Process product failures returned from the field in our repairs system, assess repairs and Warranty Issues and manage the administration to its full conclusion. WEEE recycling and Lithium battery recycling in accordance with statutory, regulatory and company processes or requirements.
Maintain and be accountable for equipment and tools stores including carrying out regular stock takes and quality control. Maintain laboratory test equipment and ensure laboratory and stores integrity and cleanliness.
Export regulations compliance for hazardous or controlled products, packing and shipping documentation and recycling commitments.

Education/Certification:

General education including GCSE passes or equivalent.
Relevant technical qualification in an engineering discipline, (preferably electronic engineering or computer science).

Knowledge/Experience Required:

Some experience gained in an electronic engineering environment.
Logistics/supply chain experience desirable
Experienced user of IT equipment and Microsoft Office Software suite.
