Hello, we’re the Pension Protection Fund. We protect millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. Our members rely on us to look after their pensions if their employers collapse and the pension schemes cannot afford to pay what they promised.

We’re looking for a Senior Developer with .Net experience to join the team and be an integral part of our IT transformation strategy.

Working within our Development Team, this role will be instrumental in the development, testing, delivery, support and maintenance of a variety of in-house business applications within the organization. Within this position, the role will help improve legacy applications and platforms; highlighting areas that can be improved along with developing well-structured and test-driven code based on best practices. Additionally, this position will proactively be involved with new projects, operational activities, and continuous improvement opportunities in line with the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).

Our ideal applicant will be a full-stack developer with recent coding experience within .Net and Dynamic 365 development experience - C#, .Net, MVC, Entity Framework (or alternative), LINQ, WCF, HTML, CSS, SQL, TSQL, JavaScript, CI/CD, JavaScript framework (React and/or Angular), TDD/BDD. NUnit, Moq, Dynamic 365, and Power Apps. Additionally, you’ll be comfortable producing solutions that focus on strong user experience using various cloud technologies such as Microservices, Azure, Dynamic 365, and API Integration skills that have ideally been gained within an agile development environment.

In return for your skills, experience and commitment we’ll give you a challenging role within a business where you’ll get the support you need to develop your career.

You’ll also get an outstanding rewards package which includes a generous pension scheme, private medical insurance, health cash plan, critical illness insurance, volunteering leave, holiday trading and a discretionary bonus scheme.

We’ll also give you lots of opportunities for personal development and skills training.

Our Croydon office is just across the road from East Croydon station, which is around 15 minutes from Victoria or London Bridge, 10 minutes from Clapham Junction or half an hour from St Pancras.

We are a Disability Confident Leader, the highest accreditation under the Disability Confident Scheme. If you have a disability and meet the essential criteria for this role you will be guaranteed an interview.

We embrace diverse talent welcoming people with different beliefs, backgrounds and ways of working, and we aim to create an environment in which everyone can be themselves.

We are a flexible organisation and welcome the opportunity to talk about what arrangements may work best for you.
