Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP60,000 per annum

Salary:
The salary on offer for the Embedded Software Engineer is GBP40,000 - GBP60,000 per annum, depending on skillset and experience.
Role:
The Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation for firmware for embedded systems and devices from identifying requirements/specifications to production and deployment.
Embedded Software Engineer key skills:
3-5+ years industry experience
Have a thorough understanding of developing for embedded platforms and environments
Embedded Software Programming in C, C++
Ability to develop, debug and test embedded systems
Low level firmware & bare metal development
Experience with various microcontrollers and related compilers and debuggers such as Microchip PIC and DsPic (ARM Cortex, TriCore etc. would be an advantage)
Communication Protocols - SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, Ethernet, BLE, Bluetooth, WI-FI
Real time operating systems - FreeRTOS, Linux or similar
Experience of reading schematics and data sheets
Familiarity with debugging embedded software using common test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyser, protocol analyser etc.)
Version Control Systems - GIT, SVN, Bitbucket or similar
Desirable nice to have skills:
Hardware Development - Electronics Circuit Design & PCB Design/Schematic Capture
Integrated Development Environment (IDE) - MPLAB, Keil uVision, Eclipse etc
MS SQL, MySQL, SQLite databases
Experience of Java, Python, C#, PHP, ASP.NET programming languages
