The Role

As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of all business support requirements and functions.

In this key role, you will co-ordinate and oversee all human resources administration. This will include managing recruitment, from advertising vacancies through to issuing offer letters, contracts, welcome packs, requesting references, creating personnel files, DBS check and carrying out inductions.

You will provide HR information on starters/leavers and maternity/paternity processes and ensure timesheets are processed. You will also support the management team with payroll, ensuring the organisation monitors and achieves KPIs, and manage appraisals and performance management, annual leave and attendance.

Additionally, your duties will include:

- Ensuring compliance with all employment legislation

- Developing, reviewing and updating policies and procedures

- Supporting the management team with payroll

- Arranging events, booking venues, preparing agendas and organising operational meetings

- Managing the outsourced IT support contract

- Ensuring governance support is provided to the trustee board

- Overseeing invoice management and ensure accurate records are kept on QuickBooks

- Managing data, records and information

 

About You

To join us as an HR Manager, you will need:

- Experience and working knowledge of HR processes

- Experience in an administrative and/or back office role preferably in a charity or not for profit sector

- Line management experience

- A good understanding of systems such as HR software and case management systems

- Operational experience within the charity or the not-for-profit sector

- An understanding of the criminal justice system

- An understanding and awareness of Data Protection guidelines and confidentiality

Please note, you will be required to work flexible hours, i.e. occasional meetings outside normal working hours.
