Our client is operating from a brand-new purpose-built facility which opened in 2019. Due to growth and investment in new production machinery, they are looking for an Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Technician to join their close-knit team.
Role & Responsibilities:
*Responsible for the performance and maintenance of all electrical apparatus including High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV), Monitoring controls, automation & instrumentation systems to analyse software timings, improvements & developments
*Dealing with instrumentation, temperature controls & pressure systems
*Working on all site-based building services, plant, manufacturing & facilities on site
*Drive continuous improvements and machine efficiency monitoring & development
*Tasks include working with both electrical & mechanical fault finding daily
*Working with PLC's, automation systems, control panels, boilers, compressors, pneumatics, robotics, motors, gearboxes, pumps, ovens, weighers, baggers
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
*Must be an automation specialist or controls & instrumentation engineer
*Be a PLC expert - Able to electrically fault find, modify & program - Siemens S7
*Able to monitor systems, create developments and read PLC drawings
*Have a proven background of working with high-speed manufacturing & production machinery
*Must have worked in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment
*Have knowledge of continuous improvement, machine development & lean manufacturing
*Willing to develop skills on state-of-the-art machinery & systems
*Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level - With time-served apprenticeship
Benefits Package:
*Salary:- GBP38,000 - GBP39.500
*Benefits:- Private Pension, 25 Days Holiday + B/H
