Human Resources Manager

The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, based in Aberystwyth, is looking to recruit a permanent full time Human Resources Manager. Established in 1908, the Commission has a leading national role in developing and promoting understanding of the archaeological, built, and maritime heritage of Wales.

This is a great opportunity for you to exercise and develop your HR skills with a small, friendly, and dynamic high achieving organisation. Most of our staff fulfil specialist roles and are highly skilled, agile, and passionate about their work.

The successful candidate will have a qualification in a HR related subject and/or a substantial level of HR experience. You will also be able to work with a high degree of autonomy and be able to negotiate, persuade, encourage, influence, and build effective relationships. You will also have a strong commitment to equality and inclusion initiatives and be comfortable with delivering bilingual training and presentations.

This is a broad and interesting role which has a direct impact on the day-to-day work of the Commission and has input and influence at a strategic management level.

The Commission is a bilingual organisation and therefore the requirement to speak and work through the medium of Welsh is essential.

Full time: 37 hours per week – flexible working arrangement will be considered

Salary: £30,600 to £37,410 per annum in four annual increments (pay award pending)

Closing date: 5pm on 5 December 2021
