The Role
As an IT Systems Support Engineer, you will provide first line IT support to staff in all core business systems.
You will monitor and manage support tickets from staff and respond in a timely manner, providing staff with prompt, courteous, and quality help and support. Dealing with both hardware and software issues, you will setup, configure and deploy IT assets (computers, software, printers etc.).
Additionally, you’ll assist the IT Manager with day-to-day network administration and support and develop our IT network services and infrastructure to satisfy and meet business objectives.
About You
To be considered as an IT Systems Support Engineer, you will need:
- Experience supporting and maintaining Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016
- Experience supporting Windows 10 and Microsoft Office
- Experience supporting Exchange Server 2010
- Experience of working with Active Directory & Group Policy Objects
- A good understanding of DNS and DHCP
- SQL Server support and management experience
- Strong numerical and written skills
Experience with any of the following would be beneficial to your application: Scripting including SQL and PowerShell, Salesforce, Service Cloud and Pardot, Magic XPI and/or other integration platforms, Oracle and/or other Enterprise ERP systems, and/or Business Intelligence and reporting systems (QlikView & Crystal Reports).
Experience of supporting Avaya IP Office PBX and/or Cisco Switches, Servers, Firewalls, proxies and wireless controllers would also be advantageous. Experience working with and managing virtual environments and in particular using vSphere and Veeam Backup and Replication would be desirable. Cisco, Microsoft or other relevant certifications would be equally favourable.
This is a full time, office-based role with occasional travel required (including international).
The interview process will be a remote video call in the first instance, followed by an in-person, Covid-secure site visit and interview for the second and final stage.
