GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who are passionate about encouraging a positive learning experience for children, someone who has excellent behaviour management skills and someone who would thrive in the nurturing environment of any school.
You must have experience of working in Key Stage 1 is essential. A good standard of education and a qualification equivalent to Learning Support Level 2 or higher is required.
You will be working one to one and in group settings with a number of children throughout the day providing behaviour support, pastoral care and SEN Support.
Your role as a Teaching Assistant:
Maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils' work
Use given strategies, in liaison with the teacher and under their guidance, to support pupils to achieve learning goals
Assist with the planning of learning activities
Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour
Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
Assist with implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmesThe role is to start as Temporary but can be permanent for the right candidate
