HRGO Recruitment have partnered with Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and are looking for an Inventory & Supplies Assistant to be based onsite in Thurmaston, Leicester.

This position requires a very motivated individual to assist the Inventory & Supplies Manager in the delivery of an effective and efficient stock management Service to Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust.

The role will involve a significant amount of lifting & handling of products in all areas including confined parts of clinical departments.

The role will also assist in the planning & organisation of team workloads & activities on a routine basis in order to compliment the needs of the end user departments.

The Inventory & Supplies Assistant will work closely with the Procurement Drivers and Trust Porters regarding all activities involved in an end to end stock management process whilst carrying out a full Materials Management role as part of the operational team.

High levels of concentration are needed at all times to cover the accurate receipting of goods into the trust & the accurate supply of goods to end user departments.

To cover and maintain a robust Stock Management service which encompasses the receipt and distribution of all goods into the Trust and the subsequent delivery and management of stock in ward and clinical areas

Skills required for this role

Previous experience in a Supplies Operations / Receipt and Distribution environment.
The preferred candidate will have some experience in a supervisory supplies role
Demonstrate an ability to supervise staff effectively
To be able to demonstrate appropriate level ,of skill with electronic purchasing systems
Experience in the use of IT systems including inventory management systems, Microsoft Office products, electronic requisitioning and ordering systems, and other procurement systems.
Ability to extract data from electronic systems
Experience of working with Policies and procedures
Change Management skills
Demonstrate influencing skills.
Some knowledge of undertaking project work as directed by management.
