Arboriculture Consultant

An Arboriculture Consultant is required for a multidisciplinary practice based in Bury St Edmunds who are involved in a variety of projects throughout the UK. The team of Arboriculture Consultants provides an efficient and proactive consultancy to many clients, including house builders, developers, planners, architects, local planning authorities, and private clients. To meet the ever-increasing workload, our client is looking to recruit an Arboriculture Consultant.

The role will be to undertake BS5837 tree surveys and produce impact assessments and tree protection plans along with client liaison, supervision of works, managing projects, writing technical reports, offering support to other members of staff, and contributing to the organisation of the arboricultural team.

Arboriculture Consultant Position Overview

• Delivery of arboricultural services, mainly in the form of report compilation and undertaking fieldwork; project support; and assistance with other work of company.

Arboriculture Consultant Position Requirements

• Passionate about arboriculture and planning, you will be keen to develop your personal and professional skills in a supportive environment and be able to oversee a number of projects and other team members.
• Teamwork is at the core of our approach and you will have the opportunity to collaborate and support other members of the team in the design and delivery of a range of projects.
• The ability to achieve tight deadlines and be able to work effectively with a wide range of clients and professionals.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing are considered important.
• Minimum NQF Level 4 qualification or equivalent in Arboriculture or Forestry
• A good understanding of planning law, pest and diseases, fungi, tree identification and visual tree assessment
• Highly competent with AutoCAD and GPS/GIS technology
• Experienced in BS5837 surveys and development related work
• Current full clean UK driving license

Arboriculture Consultant Position Remuneration

• Salary; GBP26k - GBP35k
• Holiday; 20 Days + Bank Holidays (Increases with service)
