Desptach Assistant

We are looking for a Despatch Assistant to join our clients busy production team. Working closely with the warehouse and production management and printers you will ensure printed stock is despatched to their customers

Duties include

* Collecting boxes from packing checkpoints

* Dealing with emails relating to despatch queries

* Unloading pallets

* Despatching parcels, Strapping boxes for extra protection, Operating courier computer systems, Labelling boxes, Loading pallets, Unloading deliveries

* Packing, wrapping and palletising

* Ensuring packing guidelines are followed

* Keeping working area free from hazards as per the company's health and safety policy

* To undertake any other duties, from time to time as and when required as can be reasonable requested by the Company

* To assist in covering the work of the Despatch Manager in times of absence

* To assist in organising and directing the Courier drivers, while checking accuracy of the despatched orders for every customer

* Maintaining the yard ensure no hazards, fire risks and tidy

* In charge of ensuring cardboard bailer is empty so no build up of cardboard

* No previous experience is required but candidates must be hard working and have a good previous work history

Working hours are 10.15 - 19.00hrs

Salary GBP19,500 - GBP21,500 once permanent
