WordPress Developer
We're looking for a talented WordPress Developer to join our client on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role offering a starting salary of up to GBP40,000 + benefits.
Our client creates WordPress themes that are:
* Ultra-Lean - clean code and leaning favourably into core web-vitals
* Exceptionally Modular - not all clients need the same features, but there is consistency between briefs - we need to handle this intelligently
* UX Focused - we don't want to reinvent the wheel for each user, but we do want them to enjoy the experience of using our bespoke themes
* SEO Ready - loaded with automated Schema Data, XML sitemaps, schematic mark-up and beautifully executed image handling
* Goal Getting - pre-built to record and monitor enquiries, brochure downloads and any custom goals we see fit
* Reliable - leaning less on third-party modules and handling more with custom development work
The Team:
This role sits in the Studio Department and reports directly to the Head of Studio. You'll be working alongside a small dedicated team of exceptional UX Designers and developers (all experienced and pulling in the same direction).
Location:
Our client has a busy studio environment, so they would prefer the day-to-day role to be at their offices in Newcastle-under-Lyme (ST5). However, they would consider fully remote working.
What you need to bring to the table:
* A good deal of knowledge about building websites on WordPress
* A shed-load of experience in HTML/CSS (and JavaScript/JQuery/Similar)
* A willingness to learn and 'better' our themes with each new build.
