Senior Network Engineer

Mainly an onsite role (some remote working will be available)

Inside IR35

Key accountabilities:
Proactive monitoring of business critical processes (eg Back Ups)
Technical administration of Linux and Windows system
Documenting processes and procedures
Briefing the IT Operations Manager, IT and appropriate engineering staff of proposed systems changes through Change Management process
Assisting and writing risk management documentation for accredited systems
Monitoring and managing resources for Infrastructure with designated workloads
Checking log files and audit of procedures for protective monitoring and policies

Key skills:
Proactively manage, monitor and maintain network infrastructure
Network design and implementation
Problem and incident management for the Infrastructure estate
Operational, proactive performance monitoring and analysis of estate
Cisco Edge Networking
Cisco ASA & Firepower Technology

Expert working knowledge of:
Secure application gateways/reverse proxies
DHCP/MPLS/VPLS, DNS (BIND & Microsoft DNS), voice/video integration - SIP, IP-PBX, SBC.
Cisco/HP Core and Edge Networking
Cisco Firewall technologies (ASA/Firepower)
Cisco VPN Solutions
Citrix
Meraki
Good knowledge in virtualisation technologies such as VMWare
Strong working knowledge of proactive monitoring tools such as SolarWinds
Proven architect knowledge, design and project implementation
Ideally Cisco CCNA/CCNP Qualified
