Applause IT are hiring for an I.T Security Technician for a reputable residential property development company in Chester, one of the most well recognised in the UK.
It is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take their career in IT Security to the next level, working closely with the IT Support Team and other departments to ensure the company's IT systems are suitably secure and the correct processes and procedures are operational.
The I.T Security Technician will help to ensure the company maintains compliance with governmental and industry standards - such as Cyber Essentials PLUS - and assist in the research and development for ongoing innovation in Cyber Security. Working in conjunction with other teams, you'll help with vulnerability analysis and monitoring, document changes to firewalls and other security devices, ensure that PCs and software are configured to new standards and be expected to keep your Cyber Security knowledge current.
The successful I.T Security Technician should have:
Previous experience in an I.T Security position
Knowledge of common I.T Security compliance issues - OWASP
Awareness of configuring firewalls
Experience with secure systems configuration
An awareness of Network Auditing
Excellent communication skills
